Charlotte Mason
Charlotte Mason was born in Bangor. An only child, she was mostly educated at home by her parents.
She taught for more than ten years at Davison School in Worthing, England.
During this time she began to develop her vision for "a liberal education for all". The word "liberal", as it related to education in Mason's time, implied a generous and broad curriculum for all children, regardless of social class.
Distance Education

Eclectic
Eclectic home educating is a conceptual approach that does not hold rigidly to a single paradigm or set of assumptions about home educating, but instead draws upon multiple theories, styles, or ideas to gain complementary insights into a subject, or applies different theories in particular cases.
In other words, eclectic is about using many different styles and or creating what style works for your family.
Montessori
Dr Maria Montessori founded Montessori Education in 1907.
The Montessori approach encourages learning through all five senses and includes encourging children to learn at their own pace without too much interruption.
Montessori education is mostly led by the children and is a similar approach to natural learning / unschooling.
Natural Learning
Natural Learning, also known as Unschooling, is a range of educational philosophies and practices centred on allowing children to learn through their natural life experiences - including child directed play, game play, household responsibilities, work experience, and social interaction - rather than through a more traditional school curriculum.
Religion Based
Religion based home education, as it suggests, is home education based on the faith and belief of a religion.
